Brief
Design a tangible artifact or system that engages with one of the following dimensions of truth — its interpretation, distribution or preservation in a speculative yet plausible scenario.
Scope
- The industrial design scope extends across tangible artifacts and phygital systems that interface with truth in its multiple dimensions. Interventions may span from individual experiences to systems for the collective.
- Explore tangible, reflective, and emotionally attuned products or systems that could inhabit either the near present or speculative futures. Materials, forms, and interactions are open to exploration — provided they resonate with purpose and coherence.
Deliverables
- Concept Write-up (300-500 words): Explain the Dimension of Truth that you tackled, your insight and how your product addresses it.
- Visuals: Whatever best communicates your idea: sketches, CAD, renders, interaction diagrams.
- Usage Scenario: A “day in the life” storyboard or key frames showing the product being used in context.
- Brownie Points: Ideation board that capture your thought process, finesse of representation, communication.

General Evaluation Criteria
Apart from the discipline-based evaluation criteria, your submission will be evaluated based on:
- Application Form: The clarity and thoughtfulness of your responses. Your attitude towards design and the way you approach the prompt.
- Contextual Relevance: How closely your submission responds to the theme of “Future of Truth” and the chosen track. Does it feel intentional?
- Design Excellence: The depth of your design process. Your research, ideation, execution, storytelling and visual style.
- Innovative Thinking: Is the idea novel, unexpected, or emotionally insightful? Does it go beyond the obvious?
Think of this challenge as a way to express what you feel about the world. Your submission can be as wild, poetic, precise, or playful as you are. And yes, you're free to use it in your portfolio. In fact, we hope you do!
